NAPA First Steps Grants

To support families at the beginning of their therapy journey, we’re proud to offer the First Steps Grant—designed specifically for new clients preparing for their first 3-week intensive therapy program at NAPA.

What the Grant Offers*

• • If successful, grant applicants will receive the following in line with their individual NAPA Therapy Recommendations:
• $250 (AUD) in total support for a recommended therapy program of 1 session-per-day, 3-week intensive OR
• $500 (AUD) in total support for a recommended therapy program of 2 session-per-day, 3-week intensive OR
• $750 (AUD) in total support for a recommended therapy program of 3 session-per-day, 3-week intensive OR
• $1000 (AUD) in total support for a recommended therapy program of 4 session-per-day, 3-week intensive
• If child is deemed not suitable for a 3-week intensive block (by NAPA) grant applicants may be elligible for an equivalent amount to put towards an initial weekly therapy block booking. For example $250 to put towards a block booking of 15 sessions, $500 towards 30 sessions, $750 towards 45 session and $1000 towards 60 sessions. Clinical Director approval is required for this.

Grant Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Open to all children with a noted delay or disability, however, no formal diagnosis is required.
• Open to both NDIS participants and those without access to NDIS funding.
• Open to all children, both Australian citizens and non-Australian citizen status.
• Children are eligible if you have applied or registered previously to NAPA, but have not yet attended an intensive block at any of our clinics.
• Child must be aged 0–17 years.

Application Guidelines

• Applications are open year-round, with up to 5 grants awarded per month.
• All sections of the online application must be completed for review by our selection committee.
• If approved, families will have 3 months to book their intensive or block of therapy, which must occur within 6 months of the grant approval date. Special consideration may be provided for exceptional circumstances.
• You should expect to hear back from our Grants Committee within 4 weeks of application.
