You can also register your interest separately for weekly appointments in the new Melbourne clinic below.
All Melbourne clinic updates will be made here on this page or you can now follow the NAPA Melbourne clinic on Facebook for specific posts about the new clinic.
What can you tell us about the new Melbourne clinic?
The new Melbourne clinic is located in Forest Hill, in Melbourne’s East. It is situated in a lovely business park, surrounded by parks, trees and is easy to get to with Melbourne’s major roads including the M3 to the north and M1 to the south. The clinic is located on the corner of Burwood Highway and Springvale Road – two main roads that are easy to find. There is loads of free undercover parking located at the clinic that will give you direct access to our building. Directly in front of the clinic on Burwood Highway, you will also find a Tram stop on Tram Route 75 (which connects Vermonth South directly through to the city/docklands area.
The new clinic will be as large and spacious as the current Sydney clinic. It will feature both open gym space and private treatment rooms for speech therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. There will be separate zones for CME/DMI therapy, sensory OT treatment rooms and zones and a specialist feeding area.
The parent’s room will be bright and spacious and will be the perfect spot for you to take a breather, have a bite to eat and catch up on your emails in between therapy sessions. There is plenty of undercover and disability parking available at the clinic, so getting to and from the clinic from your car will be easy!
There is a small café located within the complex (the next building over) that sells basic lunches (sandwiches and soups), sweets and pastries, drinks and coffee. We believe they will be expanding their offer ahead of our opening and there is also a a brand new café proposed for the precinct for 2022.
Will any of the current NAPA therapists be working at the NAPA Melbourne Clinic?
We will release the details of which therapists will be coming to the Melbourne clinic closer to the opening date but we can assure you that we will be employing therapists for the NAPA Melbourne clinic both from existing NAPA clinics as well as externally as we value the experience that all therapists bring to our clinic. All therapists hired for the Melbourne clinic will be spending time in the lead up to the opening in our other NAPA clinics completing their intensive NAPA training.
I have a place in a Melbourne intensive – what happens next?
If you received an email during our registration period to say you have a space in a Melbourne intensive, then we will be in touch with you to confirm and finalise these details. You will then have 7 days to either complete your intensive deposit or service agreement in order to secure your intensive session. Those who no longer wish to hold their intensive spot will have it released for waitlist clients.
What services will be offered at the new Clinic?
All services currently on offer at our Sydney clinic will also be available in Melbourne in both weekly and intensive sessions. This will include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech therapy, CME/Medek, Vital Stim, feeding therapy and so on.
Will NAPA Melbourne be a NDIS Registered Provider?
The clinic will be a registered NDIS provider so you will be able to utilise your NDIS funding for therapy services.
How do I register interest for weekly appointments for the Melbourne Clinic?
Weekly appointments are essentially a regular appointment with a regular therapist at the same time each week and will be available for physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. We have already had very strong interest in our weekly therapy services so if you are interested in these services we suggest that you register your interest for weekly sessions HERE. Once you have registered your interest, you will be added to the weekly waitlist and closer to the opening, a member of our team will be in touch to try and match the perfect times with the perfect therapist! Please note that we will not be contacting families until just prior to the clinic opening to schedule these appointments.
Can I apply to work in the Melbourne NAPA clinic?
At NAPA, we are always looking for enthusiastic physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists with experience in the paediatric and/or disability fields. Although we have almost finished filling all of our opening positions, we are still on the hunt for one more OT and one more Speech therapist for NAPA Melbourne. We will also be looking for additional therapists to join our team in 2022, so please apply if you are interested now! If you are interested in working at NAPA Melbourne or would just like to ask some questions about working for NAPA, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can you help us with equipment or toys for our Melbourne Clinic?
As we are opening a brand new clinic, we need a lot of equipment and toys to help us make NAPA Melbourne a fun place to be! If you have therapy equipment or toys that you no longer use or would like to donate or sell please contact us. We are particularly interested in things like Hart sports soft play pieces, high chairs, children’s books, switches, games and puzzles and other toys/equipment that you may have seen at NAPA in your visits. If you have anything you think we may be interested in for NAPA Melbourne please email us at email@example.com.
There are many options for accommodation near the new clinic including hotels, serviced apartments and air bnb’s.
For all of these options, we have asked the premises general questions about accessibility so you should not have any issues in this respect – but if you have specific questions or needs, please make sure you ask your booking agent.
We have compiled a long list of great things to do in Melbourne in between or after your sessions at NAPA. For the full list, please visit this page.
