NAPA is a family business built on the love that parents have for their children. NAPA Centre was founded in 2008 by a mother who spent two decades traveling the world to find the best paediatric therapy programs for her son. Over the past 18 years, NAPA has grown into a global leader in paediatric occupational therapy with our Brisbane paediatric occupational therapy clinic in Shailer Park, and several other clinics located throughout Australia, the US, and the UK.
Our experienced paediatric occupational therapists take a developmental approach to address areas of physical ability (fine and gross motor skills), sensory processing and modulation, handwriting skills, visual motor skills, and self-help skills. Essentially, an OT's role is to assist the child in performing childhood "occupations" with the greatest level of independence possible.
Sensory integration therapy can benefit children who are overly sensitive to sensory input, under-responsive to sensory input, are constantly seeking sensory input (touching people or objects), or crashing into people or objects.
NAPA Centre also specialises in intensive paediatric therapy programs which attract families from around the world. We use the Intensive Model of Therapy (IMOT) when treating children with cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders. Children often advance to the next developmental skill or higher during the three-week program.
