Highest Degree: BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Sciences, Newcastle University (UK)

Emma chose the field of Speech Pathology as it aligned with her academic interests in linguistics and biology, alongside the fundamental act of helping others to achieve their fullest potential. Originally from the UK, Emma made the move to Sydney in 2020 and has continued to expand her established clinical skills in the areas of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), feeding and motor speech production – alongside making the most of the warmer weather!

Throughout her career in the UK and Australia, Emma has always felt at home working in the field of disability and has experience providing intervention to children with a variety of developmental and neurological needs. Emma is committed to her continued professional development and has recently become accredited to provide the PROMPT and SOS Approach to Feeding interventions. Emma joins the NAPA Sydney team with a drive to further expand her practice and challenge her belief that socks should be worn and not seen (cue a new sock wardrobe!).

Emma is passionate about supporting paediatrics and their families to thrive, and it is that determination that motivates Emma to return to work each day. When not at the NAPA base, Emma enjoys exploring the beautiful National Parks that NSW has to offer and is especially excited to spot Australian wildlife! Alongside her animal interests, Emma is a serious Disney fan and you might catch her breaking into song during your next therapy session.
