Kristina has known since high school that she wanted to be an Occupational Therapist. Her love for the pediatric population grew after volunteering with children at an outpatient pediatric clinic in North Carolina. She was amazed by the impact occupational therapy had on children and families! After completing her bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Services from East Carolina University, Kristina earned her Masters in
Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University. While completing her master’s degree, Kristina worked at the Assistive Technology Resource Center helping college students with disabilities excel in secondary education. She continued to gain valuable experience in an outpatient pediatric clinic with a primary focus on sensory integration. She was introduced to NAPA by fellow physical therapists at the clinic, which sparked an immediate interest in neuro rehabilitation. Kristina takes pride in using a play-based, family centered, and strengths based approach to therapy in order to help clients and families reach meaningful goals. Outside of the clinic, you can find Kristina exploring hiking trails, throwing pottery on the wheel, dabbling in various arts and crafts/DIY projects, spending time with family and friends, and learning how to ski.
