Laura chose the field of speech-language pathology when she was in high school, after working at a summer camp for children with special needs at her local park district. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Since becoming a speech-language pathologist, Laura has worked with children ages birth to thirteen years. She has spent most of her career working as an SLP in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA), where she obtained a certification as a registered behavior technician. In addition to behavior, Laura is passionate about collaborating with families to empower them to best support their loved ones’ communication abilities.

When she is not working, Laura enjoys spending time with her dog, Pepper who is a toy Australian Shepherd. She also loves being active outdoors, doing yoga, and watching reality TV series.
