BS Occupational Sciences & MS Occupational Therapy, University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee
Maria always knew that she wanted to be an occupational therapist and work with children. At 6 years old, she witnessed firsthand the power of client/family-centered therapy when her younger sister had to receive extensive therapy services at birth. Maria strives to provide client/family-centered therapy to all of her families that she gets the opportunity to work with. Her areas of special interest include intensive therapy, stroke and cerebral palsy rehab, feeding therapy, early development, developmental delays, and collaboration with families.
When Maria is not working at NAPA, you can find her babysitting her nieces and nephews, cooking with her family, watching sports, being outdoors or hanging out with her friends. Maria grew up in Illinois but has spent the past 10 years in Wisconsin. She is excited to be back in Chicagoland where she can safely cheer for her favorite sports teams: Da Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks!
