Shannon was introduced to the field of occupational therapy by her twin sister; Following a degree in Psychology and 15 years working with children with Autism and intellectual disabilities in various capacities, as well as with refugees in humanitarian aid, Shannon returned to school in 2017 to earn her graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. She has specialised in work with emotional and behavioral regulation and executive functioning, and particularly enjoys educating and collaborating with parents and caregivers to promote sustained growth and functional independence. She has recently taken special interest in reflex integration and is excited for the opportunity to learn and grow as a therapist with NAPA. Shannon has lived throughout the U.S. and in Greece, and enjoys traveling, hiking, watching sports, and exploring new restaurants; she anticipates more adventures with her relocation to Australia!
