Pop Up Clinics

NAPA Centre routinely completes pop-up clinics in areas, towns or cities that we do not have a permanent clinic. Pop-ups are a great way for NAPA to see children who may not normally be able to access our services.

NAPA ADELAIDE OPEN DAY

The NAPA team will be hosting a FREE OPEN DAY on Saturday 24th October in Adelaide, SA for families, therapists or anyone interested in learning more about their services. Local families that are interested in NAPA services can book in for a free 30-minute discovery session where they will be partnered with one of the NAPA therapists for a session to learn all about their child and discuss whether NAPA would be a good fit for them. There will also be local Adelaide based paediatric disability equipment specialists at the Open Day so families can come along and meet with these suppliers and check out the very latest in equipment and mobility aids. NAPA Australia Pop Up FAQ's

What can I expect from a NAPA Pop up session?

Whilst NAPA Pop Up Clinics are staffed by fully qualified NAPA therapists from our existing clinics, the experience can be a little different to a visit to one of our permanent clinics. Typically you can expect the following:

  • A small team of 5-8 NAPA Therapists. Depending on which therapists are available to travel, all therapies/modalities may NOT be available.
  • Pop-ups operate the same times as our existing clinics 8am – 4.30pm daily, Monday – Friday.
  • The clinic will pop-up in a local community centre, hall or function space. We do our best to find great locations with ample parking and facilities, but sometimes this can be limited based on what is available.
  • NAPA will bring along equipment, toys and resources to make the pop-up successful, but this may differ significantly to what you could expect by visiting a permanent clinic. NAPA will also reach out to participating families to ‘borrow’ any equipment they may have as well to supplement what can be brought.
  • Therapy/intensive costs are charged at a different rate than intensives in our permanent clinics.

How do I apply for the Pop up clinic?

You can register for the above pop ups by clicking on the links above.

Please note that if the session is BOOKED OUT you will be added to the waitlist and offered a spot if another child drops out of the intensive.

Please note we cannot schedule your child in the intensive unless we have current patient intake forms that have been completed within the last 12 months. You can complete the patient intake via the Ocean Friends App here.

Once registration opens, completing this registration form is simply a registration of interest. We will contact you directly if we have a suitable space available for your child. Please note that as we travel with a limited number of therapists, if the session becomes full, we will add you to the waitlist automatically or may reach out to you to offer you a place in one of our permanent clinics.

What happens after I register?

  • The pop-up intensive will be scheduled in the months leading into the intensive. Intensive Offers will come via the email address that you used on your registration and will be followed with an invoice for the session.
  • Your intensive is only confirmed once you accept that spot in writing and either pay your $1000 deposit or return a completed NDIS service agreement (for those in Australia) and accept our additional pop-up intensive terms and conditions. Please note that you may have to pay the holding deposit if the intensive date you have registered for fall outside of your current NDIS plan dates. You can read more about this process on the Payments page.
  • Please note that submitting a registration form is a request for an intensive only. Filling out this form in no way guarantees you a session or any of your preferences. We do our absolute best to accommodate your requests but due to the volume of applications, all with specific preferences and scheduling needs, meeting even your most preferred request is not always possible.
  • If you miss out on the session you have registered for, we will automatically add you to the waitlist for that session.

Do I have to attend the whole pop up?

Yes. Just like our permanent clinics, a commitment to a pop-up intensive is a commitment to all three weeks of the program. If there is a day or session that you cannot complete due to prior commitments, then you will still be charged for these sessions as your therapists will have already been allocated to your child.

Will there be opportunities for drop-ins or assessments during the pop up clinic?

If you are interested in finding out more about NAPA, dropping in to see us during the pop-up or arranging an assessment while we are in town, then please reach out to us by emailing us here. We may be able to schedule some individual appointments in the session dependant on what may be available, but will not likely be able to confirm this until just prior to the pop up session.

What does a pop-up intensive cost?

Please note that additional charges do apply for a pop-up intensive which cover the travel, additional planning and resource preparation fees associated with the session. Therapy sessions are also charged out at our full rate (70 minutes per session). These additional fees are dependant on the number of hours your child is completing as part of their program.

  • If you are offered a place in the pop-up, an itemised intensive invoice will be provided well in advance and all aspects of the invoice are claimable through the NDIS (if you have a plan).

How do I know if the pop up is definitely going ahead?

We are confident that we will have enough interest to make all announced pop ups move forward.

In the instance that there is not enough interest in a session, NAPA may cancel or postpone the pop-up clinic.

If you have already paid a deposit for a session that gets cancelled, your money will be fully refunded.

Can I assist with the pop-up clinic?

We are always looking for assistance to make these pop up clinics happen!

If you live local to our pop-up and can assist us with a location to host, accomodation options for our team, equipment, or extra hands please reach out to us. We have therapy aide opportunities in each session that are perfect for students studying allied health, disability support, Occupational therapy, Physio or Speech therapy!

You can contact us by emailing here.

Where else is NAPA popping up?

All current planned pop-ups are listed above.

If you would like to suggest a pop-up location to us or partner with us to deliver a pop-up in your area, please reach out to us here. We generally need interest from 10-12 local families in order to make a pop-up session work.
